Recommendations before visiting the clinic

Recommendations

By following these instructions, your visit to the clinic will be as effective as possible.

Remember in advance when the changes in the health and behavior of your dog or cat began (lethargy, lameness, lack of appetite, frustration, vomiting, etc.) and what preceded it. Any details and trifles can be important for the diagnosis. Bring your dog or cat on an empty stomach - you will avoid the need to return to the clinic. It is on an empty stomach that blood is taken, an ultrasound scan is done. Some other tests may require sedation or anesthesia - this also requires your pet to be hungry. Therefore, it is better not to feed your pet in the evening, and not to drink in the morning. If your pet's discomfort is associated with any discharge (from the ears, eyes) - in no case wipe, wash or treat these places with anything. The doctor should be able to assess the picture of the disease. In case of problems with the gastrointestinal tract (diarrhea, vomiting) or allergic reactions, prepare a detailed list of what your pet eats. If it is a commercial food, it is not so much the brand and name that matters, but also the composition, for example “chicken and rice.” If your dog or cat has a seizure or an epileptic seizure, try to film how the seizure proceeds. This will allow the doctor to navigate in the direction of the diagnostic search. The time of admission to the patient is not regulated, therefore, the owner must have sufficient time for a thorough and comprehensive examination of it. In case of admission of patients requiring emergency assistance, as well as in case of emergency resuscitation measures, the entire staff of the veterinary clinic can be involved. In this case, reception on a first-come, first-served basis and by appointment may be suspended for the required time.
